How to Get Rid of Spyware and Adware From Your Computer

By: James Know

How do I get rid of spyware? What is the best adware spyware removal tool out there? A lot of people are asking these questions on a regular basis. Sadly, they ask these questions only if their Windows machines are already infected with adware and spyware. In a perfect world, a Windows machine is invulnerable and free from errors. However, this is not a perfect world, and Windows is the most targeted system from malware authors.

The thing is, getting rid of spyware can be done in two ways.

So, the question remains, how do I get rid of spyware forever? How do I get rid of spyware in my system?

1. Hack the registry and manually remove invalid entries. The registry is the most sensitive part of Windows, so I do not recommend this method. One false move and you can permanently damage your Windows install completely.

2. You can get the best adware spyware removal tools. There are free malware scanners and there are paid malware scanners. If you really want the best adware spyware removal tools then you have got to shell out cash or else you will get what you pay for. I'm not saying that free malware scanners are no good. It is better to pay for malware scanners just for the level of service alone. For example, you'll get customer service and tech support help from paid malware scanners.

Your Windows machine only needs to be fully scanned if you have the best adware and spyware tool. Full scan will take very long but it is very thorough. Do not be tempted to just do a quick scan. A full scan is necessary if you really want to detect one hundred percent spyware in your PC.

During the scan, the malware removal tool will detect spyware in your system. During this time, you will be presented with three options - delete / put in quarantine / heal. I suggest that you choose heal if you don't know what the infected file is. If the infection cannot be healed then I suggest that you put the file in quarantine.

After the scan, the program will ask you to reboot. So restart your PC at once. Do not wait for anything else. Just reboot your PC right away. Use your adware and spyware cleaning tools to do a quick scan of your system after the reboot. If there are still spyware infections, reboot and do another full scan.

I know, I know - it's tedious, isn't it? Well, that's the price we must pay for spyware and adware infection. Just look at it as a viral infection. If we do not kill the viruses in our body with antibiotics, the remaining viruses will become stronger and adapt to the medicine. That's just the way it is when you are on a Windows machine. The best thing you can do is prevent infection in the first place. You really have to watch out for malicious websites and never click on suspicious email attachments.

It's unfortunate that in this day and age spyware and adware are still in fashion. Don't lose all hope because even though it is an arms race, the good guys are almost always on top of the situation.
